It is estimated that 11 million tonnes of waste were dumped into the seas in 2016 and, unless fundamental changes are made, this could exceed 30 million tonnes by 2040. Recent research shows that at least 80% of plastic pollution in the ocean is riverine in origin.
The aim of our work is to use our best knowledge and many years of experience in helping to promote a clean environment and cleaner rivers. To this end, a Hungarian eco-innovation will be presented.
